With Children
The number of disadvantaged children in the world is profound. We focus on every child, regardless of potential or non-potential.
Every child needs an education. Whilst we have started with children in Zimbabwe, it is our hope and dream to reach to children all over the world and provide them with an education.
JDE Foundation provides funding to our partner schools with tuition fees for disadvantaged children within the communities.
We liaise with the school principals, local church minister and the currently the Anglican Diocese in Manicaland (Zimbabwe) who work hand in hand to identify the needy in the community. The tuition fee is then directly deposited into the school’s bank account. This ensures transparency to our donors and ensures that the tuition is used for its purpose.
WITH WOMEN
JDE aims to provide support to women of trauma, prevent living in violence, and promote justice for victims. The goal is to help all victims especially the emotional or psychological abuse victims whose abuse is intangible and hard to relate to or for others to see and understand. Whilst we have started with women in Australia, it is again our hope and dream to reach to women all over the world.
Support for the women will be through counselling; psychological and emotional support, short term housing referrals, legal/court help and planning for safety as they rebuild their lives all within the one stop center.
JDE aims to cut down the having to move from one center to the next to get all the relevant help that one needs when it’s hard enough to gather the courage to reach out and tell one’s story once.
JDE aims to be a ‘place to go’ to enable victims to get all the help they need under the one roof and empower themselves from hopelessness to hopefulness from victim to victor mentality to in turn make a positive impact first and foremost within their own lives then the world at large.
JDE 'a place to go' when the women & children in abusive relationships are faced with that situation of wanting to leave but battle in their minds the hopelessness of their case as they tell themselves they can't go because they have no place to go. This could be because they
aren’t in the right emotional and psychological space to fight their case as they go from one centre to the next to tell their story and seek the relevant help
Can't afford a new place
Can’t find a safe place to go
Can't afford the legals
JDE aims to be a place to give them confidence & hope in their crisis or hopelessness knowing there is a one stop centre to cater for their situation.
JDE aspires to be a centre that caters for the 3 main factors that will help them move confidently forward with their damage by providing them distance
Emotionally & Psychologically
Financially
Physically
Considering sharing one's story is one of the most difficult things one has to do. JDE is a safe haven to tell their story and impact positively their lives and those of others.
In a hopeless situation the number one question on a person's mind is where do I go and they end up in a hole when they can't answer that question .
JDE is the answer to that question or the string of questions, a place to be understood or feel like you belong, a place to provide and build / rebuild that hope as a one stop centre that cares for the needs of the trauma victims and their children.
